‘In theory, communication has never been more efficient than it is today; in reality, as Deus Ex Femina’s latest production so profoundly demonstrates, we may, in fact, be saying less than we ever have before. […] All the Things I Couldn’t Say is an endearing and painfully relatable production. As you hear audiences laugh knowingly at the awkward moments and offer sympathetic sighs at heart-breaking ones, there is no doubt Sortini and the cast have tenderly engaged with a prevalent aspect of modern life and love.’
Michelle Wakim, InReview
Deus Ex Femina and the team of All The Things I Couldn’t Say devised a multi-disciplinary vignette show from anonymous submissions around the world; the piece centring around things people have always wanted to say, or nearly said, but couldn’t.
Take a moment to engage with these people for what could be the most important moment in their lives. What are they hiding? What do they feel? Why can’t they say the words that they want to? An investigation into the fear of authentic communication, the constant self-editing of what we should say and how we should say it, and how a split second decision can change our entire lives.
